Born and raised in La Puente, Calif., DJ Cyberkid lived there until he was 15, then made the jump to Carpinteria, Calif. Towards the end of his senior year of high school, Cyberkid got into DJing, a hobby that would soon morph into a career for the young man.
Cyberkid’s first professional DJing gig was in Ventura, California where he worked as a mixer fulltime on KCAQ Q1047 FM. After about three and a half years, Cyberkid was on the road again, moving to Palm Springs then Santa Maria, where he continued his radio career at KPAT 95.7 FM The BEAT!
One year later, Cyberkid came to Las Vegas and began working as Music Director for Clearchannel Radio for WILD 102 FM. However, a station transition to Spanish programming pushed Cyberkid to
pursue other opportunities, and this energetic DJ headed straight to Vegas’ extravagant nightclubs. Today, Cyberkid’s weeks are jam-packed with residencies at some of the city’s hottest clubs
including Tao, Playboy, Sala, Ghostbar, Hakkasan and Drai's Nightclub
At only 21 years old, Carlos Martinez aka DJ CX is commonly referred to as “The Youngest In Charge." He may be young, but he knows his craft. DJing since the age
of 13, CX got his start spinning house parties for his friends to make a quick buck. The older he grew, the more he practiced and moved up, until he was DJing all his school events and being
featured as one of the main DJs in the all-age club scene. CX was discovered by Miami legend DJ Laz at a "Battle of the DJs," hosted by the legend himself. CX was only seventeen years old, but
Laz knew he had an amazing DJ on his hands. Upon winning the "Battle of the DJs," CX was signed to Mendez Media Group's DJ Roster. Following the MMG signing, CX earned his on-air spots playing
for Miami’s WPOW and Power 96, becoming the youngest on-air DJ, or “The Youngest In Charge."
Moving up in the Miami DJ scene ever since, CX has held down weekly and monthly residences at popular South Florida Nightclubs, including the world famous Club Space, and Passions at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. CX has made special guest mixes, appearances on local TV, and has participated as the 2011-2012 Miami Hurricanes Football team DJ. Upon turning legal, CX began taking his skills on the road, showcasing his young talents wherever he gets the chance.
If hearing CX at the clubs isn't enough, listen to him on syndicated mix-shows in over 6 markets. From Montreal, New Jersey, and Atlantic City, to Miami's (Power 96 & DJ1067) and Los Angeles' (KPWR Power 106 Jump Off Mix & KXOL 96.3) CX has the local powerhouse markets on lock. DJ CX may be young, but that hasn't stopped him yet. Follow DJ CX on Twitter at @DJCX.
